Information for Applicants
Students are admitted to The Milton School without reference to sex, race, creed, color or national origin.
Admission to The Milton School is based upon an assessment of the student’s ability to thrive in this type of learning environment. Generally, a comprehensive Child Study Team Evaluation is conducted first, by the student’s home school district; eligible students are interviewed, and then invited to experience a day of classes at the school, to decide if the program will meet their particular needs. It is important for the student to be part of the enrollment process. The student’s desire to attend The Milton School is of utmost importance and is carefully considered in the acceptance process.
After a youngsters visiting day, the staff is asked to voice their opinion regarding the acceptance. If the Staff, the Director, the student and his/her parents or guardian are in agreement an acceptance letter will be sent to the sending school district and the student’s parents.
